MY HEALTH SUFFERED AFTER THE MOST STRESSFUL PERIOD IN MY LIFE
I was working ridiculous hours just to try to keep afloat but I had no idea of the damage the prolonged stress was doing to my health. Indeed, it was so harmful that those years set off a chain reaction with my health, which continued way after I left.
I then reached midlife.
I did not quite know what hit me. I was living with chronic pain, was overweight and would frequently forget what I was saying right in the middle of saying it and struggle to express myself or put my thoughts together. I was becoming increasingly anxious and irritable and was honestly fearful that my capability at work would be questioned. It felt like I was losing my sense of self in ways that I could not control.
But now, all that has changed. Over time, small changes started to make a big difference; I lost 28lbs, which I've never regained, am no longer suffering with chronic pain and not only did the brain fog lift - and I cannot tell you how amazing it was to think more clearly again - but my mood, memory and relationships all improved. I am genuinely happier and back to feeling myself again.
Everyday I make intentional decisions to do good for my body and brain and avoid the bad - because I feel so much better when I do. I'd love for you to experience that too!

I believe that even in midlife, you have far more influence over your health, energy and mental sharpness than you may have been led to believe. Small, intentional lifestyle choices - made consistently and with self-compassion - can make a profound difference to how you think, feel and move as you age.
My mission is to guide people in their 50s and 60s towards sustainable, science-based habits that support long-term health and help reduce reliance on unnecessary medication. Through practical guidance and supportive coaching, I help you build more energy, clearer thinking and greater confidence - so you can stay engaged in life now and look to the future with optimism.
My mother and grandmother both had early-onset dementia so I thought I was predestined to travel down this same, heart-breaking route. It was such a relief to learn that there are so many things I can do right now that will have a positive impact on my brain in the years to come.

I now appreciate the huge impact things can have on our brain and overall health. I am more aware of my diet, sleep, toxins and head trauma and how I can live in a way that will help my overall health as well as looking after my brain.

The knowledge I’ve gained has helped me take more control of my health, and taught me that my brain can respond positively to the changes I put in place. In particular, I’ve learnt that doing things I enjoy is not self-indulgent but beneficial for my health.
